Personal Storytelling Training (1:1)

Structured one-to-one training designed to help professionals articulate their experiences with clarity, credibility, and emotional intelligence.

Particularly suited to professionals who struggle to communicate their value, journey, or perspective clearly under scrutiny.

This program capitalises Fay’s award-winning filmmaking and directing experience. It introduces rigorous narrative craft to professional communication without relying on performance or branding tactics.

Why Storytelling Is Not About Performance or Simple Narration

Most storytelling workshops focus on narrative structures, performance techniques, or presentation-style delivery. While these can improve confidence, they often feel artificial or unsustainable in professional contexts.

This training focuses on authentic narrative integration — aligning experience, intention, and communication so stories emerge naturally and credibly, rather than being performed.

The mechanism of change

This program develops:

  • clarity of personal narrative

  • congruence between identity and communication

  • emotional intelligence in storytelling

  • confidence in expressing lived experience

Progress is built through:

  • modular narrative development

  • real-context application

  • feedback and refinement over time

  • integration with communication and presence work

This is not presentation training — it is narrative integration training.

Modular by Design

EMS Development Programs are modular, meaning your training progresses through clearly defined modules rather than a fixed, linear syllabus.

Each module focuses on a specific behavioural or performance capability. This structure allows the work to be:

  • highly adjustable to individual differences

  • responsive to your strengths and development areas

  • paced according to how quickly integration occurs

While the modules themselves are consistent, the order, emphasis, and time spent within each module can shift based on your progress, ensuring the training remains precise rather than generic.

Modularity allows flexibility without sacrificing structure or developmental rigour.

Flexible Integration Across Programs

Because the programs are modular, it is also possible to design bespoke development pathways that draw selectively from different training programs.

This allows for:

  • cross‑program integration where appropriate

  • tailoring for complex or multi‑layered development needs

  • continuity between different areas of work without starting from scratch

This modular structure is what enables EMS training to move beyond workshops and deliver sustained behavioural change over time.

Why is your Personal Storytelling training effective?

The course has been formulated in line with the powerful BEATTM approach.

Based in the most cutting edge knowledge from the fields of Neuroscience, the method is a direct approach to changing emotional states and behaviour though a set of simple and intuitive tools.

BEATTM cuts through long standing faulty habits, replacing these with useful behaviour, states of being and thought patterns.

This training is informed by professional storytelling practice as well as behavioural development.

Additionally, Fay Beck is an award-winning filmmaker and director, with extensive experience shaping narrative, meaning, and emotional impact for real audiences. That expertise informs how stories are structured, refined, and communicated within this program — not as performance, but as clarity of narrative under scrutiny.

The focus is not on cinematic storytelling techniques, but on applying narrative craft to professional communication — ensuring stories are credible, proportionate, and effective in real-world contexts such as leadership, influence, and decision-making.

FAQs

Will the Course be Specifically Designed for me?

Yes. While we cover the same modules, we adapt the teaching and training in accordance with your requirements, taking account of individual differences, personal strengths and areas for improvement.

Yes. This training is designed specifically for professionals who do not see themselves as natural storytellers.

The work does not rely on charisma, performance, or verbal flair. Instead, it focuses on helping you clarify meaning, structure experience, and communicate with coherence and credibility. Many participants find that once their narrative is internally clear, storytelling becomes simpler, more grounded, and far less effortful.

The aim is not to turn you into a performer, but to ensure that when you speak about your work, experience, or perspective, it lands clearly and authentically.

Most storytelling or branding workshops focus on external narrative frameworks, messaging techniques, or performance-based delivery, often designed for marketing, pitching, or public-facing communication.

This training works at a deeper level. It is delivered one-to-one and over time, allowing narrative clarity to be integrated rather than constructed for display. The focus is on aligning experience, intention, and communication so stories emerge naturally and credibly in professional contexts — without exaggeration, scripting, or brand positioning.

Rather than teaching you what story to tell, the work develops the capacity to communicate meaning clearly when it matters.

This training sits at the intersection of both.

The work focuses on personal experience only insofar as it informs professional communication — helping you articulate your journey, perspective, and value in a way that is appropriate, proportionate, and context-aware.

The aim is not personal disclosure or self-expression for its own sake, but credible professional communication grounded in lived experience. Stories are refined for relevance, clarity, and impact within professional environments such as leadership, collaboration, influence, and decision-making.

Yes. The Personal Development Courses are modular. If there are areas that you’d like to combine we can assist you this. In this case we would ask that you first book the PERSONAL STORYTELLING COURSE – TASTER COACHING SESSION. This will allow us to understand which solution is best suited for you and how best to package it.

We do recommend that they take place within a short period time. This is in order to fully take advantage of the compounding effects of the tools you are learning. Attending sessions too far apart makes it easier to forget the new tools you are acquiring. When learning new skills it is vital to apply the intervention protocol which maximises retention and adaptation. Once we receive your booking, we will be in touch to organise the sessions with you in line with optimum schedules for learning. Timeframes for completion of the courses are generally several weeks (Foundation Program) to several months (Consolidation Program).

Immediately. The skills you will learn can be applied straight away. So long as you make the minimal effort required to adopt the skills & tools, you will be on the way to making fundamental changes to habits, behaviour and your state of being.

Currently, as we are in the process of training our first set of gifted coaches, the studio’s founder, Fay Beck, will be conducting the sessions.

Training sessions can be conducted online and in-person at our London training studios.

The 15-session program is designed to support meaningful and sustained behavioural change, not short-term insight.

If, by the end of the program, the agreed behavioural outcomes have not stabilised to the level we set together at the outset, we will continue working through additional integration sessions at no extra cost until the work has properly consolidated.

This commitment reflects the depth of the process and the shared responsibility required for change. It applies where the program has been fully engaged with, sessions have been attended and tasks and exercises completed as agreed.
