Building High-Performance Teams Training

BUILDING HIGH-PERFORMANCE TEAMS TRAINING
Most organisations have capable individuals who underperform as a team. The reasons are rarely technical – they are behavioural. Poor communication creates misalignment. Unresolved conflict erodes trust. Unclear accountability produces avoidance. Leadership styles that work individually fail at the team level.
The Building High-Performance Teams Training is designed to address these dynamics directly.
Built on the BEAT™ (Beck Emotional Access Technique®) framework and grounded in current neuroscience and organisational psychology, this programme equips leaders and team members with practical strategies and tools for building a team culture of collaboration, accountability, and sustained high performance.
This is not a generic team-building course. Every programme begins with a pre-training consultation to understand your organisation’s specific team dynamics, challenges, and goals – and is tailored accordingly. No two programmes are delivered identically.
Our groups are intentionally capped at 8 participants – ensuring every individual receives the focused, personalised attention that produces genuine, lasting behavioural change rather than a temporary post-training enthusiasm that fades within weeks.
How will the Building High-Performance Teams Training impact your organisation
Comprehensive Team Development
Participants develop a full understanding of what high performance actually requires - from the initial formation of a team through to sustaining peak performance under pressure. This is not about motivation or inspiration. It is about building the specific behavioural and communication capabilities that high-performing teams actually use.
Practical Frameworks and Tools
Every module delivers frameworks and tools that can be implemented immediately within your organisation. Participants leave not just with understanding, but with a concrete plan for applying what they have learned to their specific team context.
Expert Facilitation Grounded in Neuroscience
The programme is facilitated by practitioners with deep experience in team dynamics and organisational development, working within the BEAT™ framework - a methodology that addresses the emotional and behavioural dimensions of team performance that conventional training approaches miss entirely.
BUILDING HIGH-PERFORMANCE TEAMS TRAINING
By the end of this programme, participants will:
- Understand the dynamics of high-performing teams – what creates them, what sustains them, and what undermines them
- Communicate more effectively across the team – with greater clarity, precision, and psychological safety
- Lead their teams with the techniques that drive genuine engagement and sustained motivation
- Navigate conflict constructively – building a culture where difficult conversations happen early and resolve well
- Hold themselves and their colleagues to clear, shared standards of accountability
- Implement sustainable performance practices that keep teams performing at their peak beyond the training itself
- Align their team’s objectives with broader organisational goals – creating purpose and direction that drives results
How does High-Performance Teams Training work?
This programme is built on the BEAT™ framework – a neuroscience-informed methodology developed by Fay Beck that addresses the emotional and behavioural patterns that shape how teams function.
Most team training focuses on processes and frameworks – how to run a better meeting, how to set clearer goals, how to structure a feedback conversation. These are useful. But they miss the deeper dynamics that determine whether a team actually performs: the trust levels that determine whether people speak honestly, the emotional patterns that cause conflict to escalate or get avoided, the behavioural habits that make some leaders inspiring and others exhausting.
BEAT™ works at this deeper level – developing the internal awareness and behavioural control that allows team members and leaders to function at their best under the conditions that matter most: pressure, change, conflict, and uncertainty.
BUILDING HIGH PERFORMANCE TEAMS TRAINING MODULES

Understanding High Performance Dynamics
The characteristics of genuinely high-performing teams. Team roles, stages of team development, and the critical importance of shared vision and purpose. Participants learn to recognise the specific signs of both high and low performance – and understand what drives the difference.

Building Trust & Collaboration
The foundational role of trust in team dynamics – and what actually builds or destroys it. Through interactive exercises grounded in BEAT™ principles, participants develop the specific behaviours and communication patterns that cultivate genuine trust and open collaboration among team members.

Leadership Techniques for High-Performing Teams
The leadership styles that best support high performance – and the ones that undermine it despite good intentions. Role-play scenarios provide practice in motivational techniques, feedback delivery, and empowerment strategies. Participants develop the leadership presence that creates followership rather than compliance.

Enhancing Communication & Accountability
Effective communication strategies for team success – including how to establish clear expectations, set measurable goals, and provide constructive feedback. The module addresses how to build genuine accountability at all levels – not the kind that creates anxiety, but the kind that creates pride in performance.

Conflict Resolution & Problem-Solving
Practical tools for navigating and resolving conflict constructively. This module covers conflict resolution styles and techniques, with particular attention to the emotional and behavioural dynamics that cause conflicts to escalate – and the BEAT™ interventions that interrupt those patterns before they do.

Sustaining Long-Term Team Performance
Strategies for continuous improvement and team resilience. Regular team assessment methodologies, long-term objective-setting, and development plans that ensure high performance is maintained – not just achieved in a burst of post-training momentum that fades within months.

FAQs
Will the course be specifically designed for my organisation?
Yes. Once we receive a booking, we reach out to organise a pre-training consultation. We use that consultation to understand your culture, gather insight into the specific challenges your team is facing, and adjust the programme and delivery in line with your organisation’s needs. No two programmes are delivered identically.
How many hours is each training day?
Each training day runs for 8 hours and includes breaks totalling 1 hour – giving 7 hours of active training time per day.
Why are groups capped at 8 participants?
We cap group sizes at 8 to ensure every participant receives focused attention and genuine personalised feedback throughout the programme. Larger groups dilute the hands-on, behavioural work that makes BEAT™ training effective. This is a deliberate quality decision, not a capacity limitation.
Our team is larger than 8 people - can you accommodate us?
Yes. For teams larger than 8 we offer bespoke solutions – either running multiple cohorts or delivering the programme with additional practitioners. Please contact us to discuss the right approach for your organisation.
Where does the training take place?
Training is delivered at our trusted training studio in London, or at your premises. Our coaches can travel to any destination within Greater London as standard.
We are not based in London - can you travel to us?
Yes. Our coaches can travel anywhere in the UK – and internationally – to deliver training. Please get in touch for a quotation based on your location.
Can the training be delivered online?
Yes. We offer a fully online version of this programme for teams who need remote delivery.
How is this different from standard team-building programs?
Most team-building programmes focus on activities and frameworks – useful but often superficial. This programme is built on the BEAT™ framework, which addresses the emotional and behavioural dynamics that actually determine whether a team performs: trust levels, communication patterns under pressure, conflict responses, and leadership presence. The result is change that holds beyond the training room.
Who is this training designed for?
This training is designed for any team that needs to perform at a higher level – whether newly formed teams establishing their culture, established teams experiencing friction or underperformance, teams going through significant change or growth, or leadership teams seeking to model and embed high-performance behaviours across their organisation.
